What Is Google Partner and Who Can Become a Google Partner?
What is Google Partner? Who can become a Google Partner? What is Google Premium Partner?

WHAT IS GOOGLE PARTNER?
Before answering the question “What is Google Partner?”, it is important to understand why this market matters so much and how it has passed through various stages to get to where it is today.
In our era, and especially in the years since the pandemic, digital marketing has come to the fore more than ever and has become a necessity rather than merely a need. Following these developments, many companies, large and small, have stepped into digital marketing and started creating their own digital marketing strategies to grow their market share and, with it, their turnover.
At the centre of all these developments stands Google, which holds almost 75% of the mobile market, and, as the most powerful of marketing weapons, the ads shown to users on flagship social media giants such as Instagram and Facebook; together they effectively reign as emperors of the digital market.
Even if you have never done any digital marketing before, you will certainly have heard something about it. Anywhere on the internet, whatever the language (if the subject is digital marketing), you will come across the term PPC, or pay-per-click. That being the case, and with your ads now running on a system that charges you for every click, you will realise that any money you spend without understanding Google, its strategies, its (artificial intelligence) infrastructure and its developer infrastructure may do you more harm than good.
This is why you need a thorough understanding of Google, equipped with the platforms in its family that billions of people use at almost every hour of the day. However, if you are not part of this marketing world, no matter how good your technology is, if you cannot read analytics, follow audience trends, narrow down your audience targeting and turn your existing followers into loyal fans of your brand, all of this will harm you rather than help you.
WHAT DOES A GOOGLE PARTNER DO?
Realising this in 2015, Google decided to teach people digital marketing in order to shake off the belief that had stuck to it, the idea, so to speak, that the more you pay, the more you get. The first step was to set up GOOGLE ACADEMY to provide training for SMEs. Through the free training offered there, they explained the similarities between digital and traditional marketing, and after the training they rewarded participants by certifying them.
However, the system they built for SMEs was far from suitable for large companies and organisations. The main reason was that annual advertising budgets of around USD 1 million were simply too large to entrust to people who had entered the field just by earning a certificate. At this point, it became clear that Google needed business partners who knew it well and would support their clients while following its principles, and this gave rise to GOOGLE PARTNERS.
Google currently has two types of partnership, which it classifies as Google Partners and Premier Google Partners. So what are the differences between these partnerships? Let’s look at this under a separate heading.
Google Partners vs. Premier Google Partners
When researching Google Partners, you will see that there are two types of badge: Partner and Premier Partner. So what is the difference between these two badges?
To become a Google Partner, a company must have an in-house expert certified in Google Ads. This must be someone who fully understands the inner workings of Google Ads.
If a company is a Premier Partner, it has at least two people certified in Google Ads.
Many Premier Partners certify more than two people, but this is the minimum requirement for becoming a Premier Partner. This is one of the key differences between the two types of Google Partner.
Another difference is the company’s level of spend. To become a Premier Partner, USD 10,000 must be spent over a period of at least 90 days.
These are the two differences between a Partner and a Premier Partner. Whatever a company’s badge, however, both must provide their clients with an excellent level of service.
In short, two factors set partners apart: the first is the number of trained people they have, and the second is the budgets they manage. We would not be wrong to say that, with this partnership structure, Google once again shows that it is a company that never leaves anything to chance and always has a second strategy.
